In the sample preparation laboratory considerable attention is devoted to
ensure that the subsamples processed through our other laboratories are
representative of the samples received from our clients.
Laboratory cleanliness, and quality control systems in the sample
preparation areas ensures that reliable results are generated in our
mineralogical, mineral processing and analytical laboratories.
The main sample preparation activities are performed in two self contained
out-buildings which are equipped with crushers, pulverizers,
sample splitters, and particle size analysis equipment.
The sample preparation team are responsible for:
- Crushing, screening and splitting bulk samples to prepare them for subsequent testing.
- Pulverizing and homogenizing subsamples to prepare them for chemical analysis.
- Particle Size Analysis, including sieve analysis and cyclosizing analysis to collect samples down to 5 microns in size for mineralogical and metallurgical study.
- Sample storage and inventory.
