Mineral Processing Laboratory

Our mineral processing laboratory is well equipped and designed to meet the needs of mining and exploration companies who wish to examine a range of processing options to further develop their deposits.

Our expertise and reputation has been developed by rapidly and efficiently producing treatment protocols for difficult ore types.

These protocols encompass schemes to economically recover base and precious minerals from volcanogenic complex massive sulphide copper-lead-zinc ores to large porphyry copper-gold ores. We have conducted crucial investigations on behalf of major mining companies worldwide, as well as work for junior companies on grassroots projects.

The basis of the laboratory investigations continues to be the established locked cycle test simulation, of a process. The work is conducted on drill core sections or composites. Using the results generated from our cycle test procedures many of our clients have brought their resource into production.

Our mineral processing facility is equipped and staffed to perform the following bench scale activities.

  • Bond work index determinations using standard FC Bond ball mill and a comparative rod mill procedures.
  • Flotation testing using Denver D12 aspirated air flotation machines and Denver D12 and Agitator LA500 supercharged air flotation machines.
  • Gravity concentration studies using Knelson Concentrators.
  • Grinding studies using rod and ball mills with inert and mild steel media.
  • Cyanidation Bottle Roll Testing.
